About Mara
Mara Koffmann, Braintrust Tutors Co-Founder, is a learning specialist with extensive experience in transforming reading instruction for diverse learners. Holding a Master’s in General and Special Education, and with specialized training in a host of academic intervention programs, Mara created the Braintrust Reading Program to simplify literacy learning. This comprehensive intervention curriculum translates complex reading science into accessible teaching resources, creating transformative outcomes for a wide range of learners. Mara’s workshops empower stakeholders with practical, evidence-based techniques that bridge best practices with classroom reality to make the Science of Reading accessible to all who support children's literacy development.
