Yes! We have certified tutors on our platform who are trained to deal with all manner of learning differences. During the sign-up process, we’ll ask you to tell us a little bit about your child’s unique needs, so that we can recommend the perfect tutor!
No! We are committed to helping children with learning differences find a better way to learn, and to thrive. To do that, we connect with incredible educators who teach a wide range of students, including those without any specific learning needs or challenges.

It’s simple! You can click here to create a profile on the Braintrust platform. We’ll ask you to let us know about your child’s unique needs, so that we can recommend the perfect tutors. Request interviews and then schedule sessions with your favorite educator directly through his or her profile. Prior to scheduling a session, we will ask you to provide your credit card information, but you will only be charged after a session is completed and you receive a post-session report describing the lesson and suggested next steps. It’s that easy!

You can search through our network of certified educators here. But we recommend you create a profile here first. This will enable us to make the best possible tutor recommendation. Once you’re signed up, you can request an interview with tutors and schedule sessions directly through each educator’s profile.

Both! You have the option to choose the location you prefer when you look for the right match for your child’s unique needs. However, if you don’t see any recommended tutors in your zip code, we suggest you take a look at the educators we have available online. Remember, tutoring sessions are more like a conversation than a remote classroom, and our teachers are pros at keeping students engaged!
Yes! Every Braintrust tutor undergoes a criminal background check and certification review as a part of the sign-up process.
Yes! You’ll be able to read the profiles of our recommended tutors and request an interview directly through their profiles so you can be sure to find the right match. We understand that the bond between a child and his tutor is extremely important to the success of your child’s development, and we want to ensure that you’ve chosen the perfect match.
At Braintrust, we believe in empowering our tutors, so that they are motivated to provide your child the best possible experience. Therefore, they set their own rate. That means, whatever your budget, you can connect with an incredible educator at a price you can afford.
There are no upfront costs for Braintrust. Payments will only be processed after you’ve received your child’s session report using the credit card you maintain on file. This payment information is securely stored with Stripe, one of the world’s leading and most trusted payment processing service providers.
After each session, you will receive a session report via email detailing skills addressed during the meeting, strengths, challenges, and next steps. You can also log in to your Braintrust account to check your child’s progress report. Once you receive the report, payment will be processed. We’ll ask you to keep an active credit card on file, so that the process can be as painless as possible for everyone.
Yes. We offer customized, longer-term teaching engagements, extending for a full semester or even school year. We can set these sessions up for your child individually, or in pods with other families.
Nope! We tend to think that you’ll love the experience, and we hope you’ll want to continue to work with your tutor. However, your commitment is session-to-session.
Yes. But please keep in mind that, by booking a session, you are requesting that a tutor set aside his/her time. Your individual tutor’s cancellation policy can be found on his/her profile. As you can surely understand, we ask that all of our parents abide by these cancellation policies.
Sure. Anytime. Just click the icon with your initials in the upper right corner and choose “Profile” to adjust your personal details, add a child to your account, and update your payment details.
Of course! Just reach out through the chat box on the bottom of the screen. If someone isn’t available to help right away, we promise we will get back to you via email ASAP!
